How to install linux without GDM or KDM.

All I need is Command Line interface.

Then Install Graphic Driver from nVidia from Command line [The driver will be on a HDD partition say hda 1.]

Then install GDM or KDM so they will run with updated driver. GDM / KDM will be on the DVD / CD.

How this can be done?

Linux Distro: MINT

Think Zen.
You dont need to go that way to install nVidia drivers.
Just install linux,if u get the gui (mostly u would) it would be running of the generic "vesa" driver or the "nv" driver. .
Install ur nVidia drivers and it should switch to the nVidia driver automatically.

However,if the gui doesnt come up,boot to runlevel 3 which is a text-only-ui.
There u can install the drivers and reconfigure xserver to get gui running.

Dude,i read u were using Mint,
AFAIK Mint comes with nvidia drivers and can detect most cards.
Try the live cd and see if ur graphic card is detected.
Also u can try the Envy Script for Ubuntu to install proprietery drivers
since mint is fully compatible with Ubuntu.
