Apart from that even Samsung NP300E5Z-S08IN fulfill your requirements and it only costs 35k

2) What size & weight consideration (if any) would you prefer?
ans. preferably a 15.6", but to cut the price, i can manage with 14"

ans. no such preferance.

ans. i'll use it for MS Office, watching hd movies, gaming (just a little),
photoshop, etc.

i saw a dell laptop with i5 (with turbobooster which makes it 3.1 ghz), 500gb, 4gb ram, 1 gb graphix.

All i5 2nd gives a turboboost

go for the Asus K53SM-SX010D as suggested by dashing.sujay... if u could stretch your budget to 49k go for Asus K53SM-SX016D,it has a core i7 processor compared to the core i5 of the other.
