Kaspersky quarantines Windows Explorer

There are times when the AV is unable to disinfect, probably coz the definitions don't haf the required code. But the AV thinks that its a virus and hence tries to prevent damange; or mebbe you wanna send that virus infected file for analysis. In such cases Quarantine is required.

^^yep,some viruses don't do anthing but make copies of themselves,i mean like thousands of copies,bloody lame viruses.Only option left is either to disinfect every file which often results in 'critical dll missing' or just reinstall.

even I didn't used to care about viruses,virus aaya just do a reinstall but lately reinstalling windows seems a waste of time!My zune is lying around with just a handful of songs in absence of windows.I am getting a 8600gt within 4-5 days so I guess I will have to install windows soon enough.

Anyways Isn't avast free edition good enough?A firewall is a must in windows,antivirus is just optional.

A system cant be tested for 0% bugs but is tested to find out bugs.

So how much rock solid a system can be, it still features some bugs to screw it down.

lol..to much to digest

my simple solution is
Antivir + Comodo + firefox (with no script and adblocker + more extensions)
Never had a outbreak for whole year.

Quarantine is a biological term, that was first used in context to separate new harmful plant species to spread in another area thru transport or any means.

i was also paranoid to the same degree some time before.

Now once u get to know the working of OS and becomes a marine from a newbie u can be assured.

The more no. of processes running the more sytem slows down
