I remember there was DOS command which we used to rename the extension of the folder so that it converts that folder into any system exe (my computer, recycle bin etc) & double-clicking would open that program instead of that folder

Really simple just follow the steps
1. Open Disk Management
2. Right Click the Drive and select "Change Drive Letter and Path"
3. Then Click Remove on the next dialog box and confirm it.
4. Drive is hidden now. :)

Thanks... I know this, but I read somewhere about diskpart command in cmd to hide and assign the drive letter.

but you can merge the folder (zipped) to any other file like pdf or jpg.

BTW, zipping and renaming the zipped file as something like .tmp or .dll or.cab :p
like that, no one would dare mess with a system file. :D

zipping and password protection is best but is time-consuming (if the folder is in large-size)
but the DOS batch command will convert any folder to system app in 1sec :-D

who said ??
Please mention the command :p

just rename the file, no need for password protection, plus dont compress, i said only zip it. ;)
and if you have large files, better don't zip, instead rename the files as my earlier suggestion :D
