GIGABYTE - Motherboard - Socket AM3+ - GA-78LMT-S2P (rev. 3.1)

it is AM3+ cpu ready which means you can upgrade to next generation of amd processors without need to change mobo.

Here my suggestion for the motherboard is M5A78L-M LX PLUS @3.3K. This board is a full AM3+ board with support for 125W CPU. So in future OP can upgrade to a higher end 6 core Phenom II or Bulldozer processor. Also check for the motherboard Asus M5A78L LE mobo. It offers four Ram slots.

Actually I quoted the price from this post: *www.thinkdigit.com/forum/pc-compon...3901-pc-buying-guide-2011-q4.html#post1453610

Presently I can't see that model in some sites. You may want to try out local market for the 'exact' price. Even if it's not 4K, it should be around 4K (but not 4.8K, its too high, street prices are generally lower than website price).
