Is Optimus 4X HD worth buying now ???

Hi, I need a new phone for around 20k, and HS18 is giving away the LG Optimus 4X HD for 21k today.
Should I buy it or wait for new phones ? My only concern is if there are updates or custom roms available for it, as I don't want to be stuck on ICS for next few years.
Also how is HS18's service ?

Get it eyes closed dude, as for updates, jelly bean will be coming for 4X HD, LG has announced that, and for custom roms: Optimus 4X HD Android Development - xda-developers

I'd have gotten it and cancelled my LG L9 order, its just that HS18 does not ship to kolkata, get it before stock runs out.

About HS18 service, it has got mixed review, though they do not screw with pricey components like mobiles, worse thing that can happen is that you'll get a refund after few weeks. Go for it.

the recent launch of Galaxy Grand at 22k shows what Samsung & similarly HTC and Sony will offer you at this price. Don't expect 4X HD like spec from others for at least another year at this price point.

These both companies think that we people are fools
Sony offers great mobile spoils it by the low battery or non expandable memory, as per grand almost the whole phone in POS

The reality of India, no matter what goes on where we still get a screwed up set under 20k(even L9 lacks a good cam) :evil:

Don't give it a second thought. You will not get a better phone for Rs 21K than the 4X right now.

I think its still there(L9). Costs 14940. For GAWD sake explain to DAD that its the BEST.

Camera, no issue but not upto the mark in terms of pic quality, but antenna? Well, I am posting some pics soon, it catches signal like a hot chick, full bars out of the box and the GPRS worked flawlessly, which ever did on my Nokia 5800, just tried it, so its beyond groovy.
