Is my Pendrive dead?

I have a 4 Gb pendrive.But am not able to copy files to it which are more than a few kb. It shows teh capacity as 2.98 MB instead for 4 Gb

This is what it's properties show:

I tried formatting it again & again under XP & Vista & also tried it under ubuntu..but it remains the same.
Is my pendrive dead?

may be their is a partition problem in your Pen Drive
in XP or Vista
Right Click on My Computers select Manage
When Computer Management Windows Opens select
Storage > Disk Mangement
than see their very carefully if your Pen Drive has correct partition
if not than create a new one


or your PC is suffering from Virus
Use a Good Antivirus Like Kaspersky Internet Security and do a Full System Scan

How do I change the partition size from here:

and I dont think my system has any viruses ...I hav NOD32 will latest virus signatures updated..
