Hi,
I installed 256MB Ram in my Computer, and System information shows Total physical memory exactly 256MB, but Available Physical Memory is only shows 60MB!!.
I am using windows XP, if it is a virus how can remove it?. I scanned with AVG Freeware edition(Updated), but nothing found.

everything is right.there is no virues. the 60 mb available ram is the ram left for other programs. windows has used (256-196=60.)196 mb in loading its os. just relax and enjoy. windows will manage its memory as require.

Hmmm.... There is a chance for a memory filin virus.. but i think the os is actually needin that much to run... try to avoid unwanted programs in startmenu and disable unwanted services...60mb will slow ur system down a bit.. but not necessorily..

Check ur system by a good antivirus( NOD32 /Kaspersky).. NOD32 may suit u as it is very low resourse consumin..(FOR UR SATISFACTION if necessory)

Other than that...there is no problem in anythin else i think...and its not any virus..just the loaded os

No @ ras, you need not worry... It's not a Virus! You're left with only 60MB because your OS (Windows for that matter) and other start-up programs has used up the rest of your memory (196MB) while loading!
