Is it a good deal.. samsung i3 laptop by a dealer

Hi,

I have been offered laptop by a dealer citing that he can sell it for discount price if I can compromise with some scratches on body etc..

The laptop is : Samsung RV NP-RV518-S01IN Laptop: Flipkart.com: Compare, Review Samsung Notebook

He is quoting Rs. 23K for it..

Should I go for it , its almost new, dealer says that he used it for display just to show.. since it got scratches , he want to sell it on discount as there are btter deals from samsung..

I was originally going for Samsung ci5, 1GB Nvidia 520mx, 750 GB / 4G RAM for 35K ..

Need advice soon, he said offer for me is for today only !

It is confirmed that it was never used other than for showing off... It has FreeDOS installed which came from manufacturer ... I don't think dealer will take trouble to install FreeDOS on it to pretend its never used..


I spent good two hours at dealers place to verify things.. looks good apart of battery which needs to be calibrated.

He even said that I can use it for 2-3 days and if any issue he will take care !...

Lets hope for good !

i3 + 3gb + 500 gigs @ 23k, hmm Is it even a deal? For some hundred bucks more, new ones are available.

You left out GT520 M .... i3 are mostly around 30K and its new only with some scratches (those are visible to me only as I know about them) ...

But its just for time being.. you know about my crashed hdd !!

520M isn't a big deal. Marginally better than hd3000. i3 is available around 23 something. Anyways you saved ~1k.

Bro but considering the same config from same brand costs around 5k or + more.
So considering that it is not a bad deal at all

great man you had a nice deal. I too own a samsung laptop with almost same config but mine is i5 a i bought it from U.A.E and it costed me around 30k. but did you thought about upgrading its ram? can it be upgraded?

and 2GB graphics Wow... (i know its 610m just renamed 520m)
