Is i3 530 Worthy Proccy Upgrade?

Currenty here is my specs.

intel d945 GCNL MOBO
intel E7200 2.56 Ghz
xfx 9800 GTX+ 512mb DDR3
2GB DDR2 @ 667 Mhz
CM 600 ( 600 W ) PSU
250gb SATA HDD + 160 GB SATA HDD
X7 G800 Keyboard, X755fs Mouse.

So, planning to get the rig as below

intel core i3 530
asus p7h55-V
2Gb DDR3 @ 1333Mhz
Rest the same.

Note : Basic usage is multimedia and gaming.

What you bros. think about it?

Well,I don't think it will make a huge difference.I suggets that you wait for 6 months or so and you might be able to grab an i5 or perhaps an i7 series of processor for a similar price.

What you bros. think about it?

you can also go for AMD Phenom II X2 555 coupled with a 880G motherboard. & save some money rather than a product thats almost EOL.

if going for Intel, get i5 750 + any good P55 board. i3 is not good.

Don't go for i3 at all asa upgrade.

If budget is not the issue than go for atleast i5+P55 motherboard.

Else if u want to upgrade in a months time, than better go for QUAD CORE CPU. And also upgrade ur graphics card to atleast ATI 5750.

Make sure u buy very good PSU & CABINET for these power hungry proccy.

Cooling is such a big aspect in modern CPUs...........!!!
