And yes, I didn't like 5800XM but I would rather save 12k by opting for 5800XM instead of iphone.

A : SE announces 12 MP camera phone
B : WHOA !! 12 MP will surely give your 6 MP DSLR run for it's money.

Thr is nothing to drool on megapixel count . imo even if a cam has 2mp then it should be good. For example the k750i.
But packing in 12mp cam in a phone doesnt makes it a imaging behemoth unless it performs well in most conditions.

Idou does have a Xenon Flash if u want to see. Better compare it with a phone instead of a DSLR

add the the sexy design, smile and face recognition in camera, 16M color display, secondary call camera for video call (will be very useful given that 3G is spreading in India),

and coming to the topic, Idou comes with 16:9, which means all those new movies will not have those f'ing black bands

Thats it. I need not hunt further.I am all game for the phone. Buying it the day it is released.

Apple's RDF is in full form. They are making age old features look like new. I will compare it with my Nokia N79 :D

iPhone = 29k while N79 = 19K
Looks like by the time I decide to upgrade my N79, means in the next 3 years, I will have to make a choice between SE Idou or iPhone because with this speed I guess It will take Apple 3 years to support features compared to my today's N79

Have you ever even used an iPhone? I know iPhone is not the best phone out there but it certainly is a great phone and I will take pains to tell you why. I have been using iPhone 3g for sometime now and have friends who own them and to tell you no one who bought one has complained about it. It's a great experience.

I am a sad geek who likes to tinker with things a lot. I jailbroke my phone and no I wasn't worried that it would void warranty of my 31K phone cuz you can just do a soft reset and all jalbreaking signs disappear. I jailbroke mine and my friends phone not only for fun but to get rid of apple's stupid habit to try to control what goes on there phone.

I now have these features on my iPhone (through Cydia or Appulous) all for free -

1. Clippy - Systemwide Cut Copy pase
2. Cycorder - Video Recording
3. Backgrounder - background applications enabled
4. PDANET - Use my iphone to access net on my laptop.
5. Mplayer and VLC on my iphone.
6. xGPS - Great GPS with turn by turn directions. It tells me where to turn when in car and I never get lost in Delhi again. I always know a way out no matter how much traffic.
7. VNC - I can Remote Desktop to my pc from my iphone, it works awesome.
8. dtunes - download and watch videos from youtube/youporn or anydamn site. you can even download torrents, and yes I download at speeds of 25-26 Kbps..... not bad i would say, considering it's a stupid phone.
9. I have tabbed browsing, cookies, java, .net enabled browser.
10. AdBlock - blocks ads while net surfing to save bandwidth.
11. iBluetooth - proper application that lets you share files with every damn thing.
12. 667 Mhz of computing power, games work awesome. I Play DOOM on my iPhone or Ferrari F1 and twist phone to control car and using TV out the display is on TV. It works great, feels like playstation. Although Playstation is far better anyway but still works nicely.
13. I use VOIP application thru Cydia, in my office gmail/gtalk is blocked, I am always online through my phone.
14. ebook reader - I read ebooks on my iphone's large screen.
15. Numerous MMS and SMS apps available for free on Cydia.
16. Great themes and other cool apps.

I have used N79 and have nothing against it. Neither am I one those stupid apple fans, but believe me an iPhone is an awesome buy. It takes 2 mins to jailbreak it. If you have one, I recommend all users to do the same. I will make your phone into something unimaginable.

Please stop bashing iPhone 3G, do bash apple for being so control freak but the device iPhone in itself a great piece of hardware and you needn't be nerd like me to appreciate it.

Absence of flash and silly 2 mp camera is something that bugs me though but when I compare images with my friends phones, only Samsung's Omnia and N95/N96 beat it hands down. iPhone manages great snaps, I no longer need my digicam.

If i were to get an Iphone it would be only for its style and coolness....I still cant understand y other manufacture still cant compete apples smooth touch screen...

Who cares if it can record video or not if the sole purpose is style:))..just it should make and receive calls properly:grin::lol:

@zboy123 thanks for telling us this fact . Am gonna buy an iphone now and will throw away my digicam :)
