Well iPad 2 if you use many apps and also want to play games on it. imo iPad >> most other tablets.

Sony (tablet S) = looks first. hardware second. and check the button placement. hardware is last gen.

even by hardware, iPad2 is lot better. Its not about hardware. Its how efficiently you use the hardware. Heck, pack a Core i7 into a tablet like Razer. What you get? a battery killer.

Is it possible to use new ipad Wi-Fi only version paring with a phone (Andriod or Nokia Sym) for Internet access where the Wi-Fi or BB not available ?

Or in that case go for SIM card/LTE version ?

Just a small correction, the processor is same, only gpu is different.And battery back up is also the same.
Yes the screen and GPU are the best in mobile devices till date

played with ipad 2 yesterday. Browser sucks big time , pinch to zoom is not smooth... and its heavy for my liking.

I have checked YouTube videos of New ipad ( whosoever named this should be shot in head) and browser looks better compared to ipad2.

New iPad is a wee bit heavier and a hair thicker

It's for double the battery and double the power requirements hence same battery life.

It's got 4 times the gfx capability but the new screen is 4 times as demanding, hence performance is again same.

So overall the one true feature of the new iPad is actually the improved resolution.

Android and Ios are 2 different segments.
I'd suggest you list your needs rather than saying "What do I buy" and go with the crowd, to avoid regretting your purchase.
