one other thing I noticed: ASUS M5A78L-M LX / LE will support upto 95W CPU :( so 9xx series is out of question I guess...

FX4100 is cr@p. Just see some reviews from good websites and you will see. Those reviews at flipkart are mostly from self-boasting customers who don't have any idea about processors. If you really want to go for FX processors, FX6100 should be the minimum choice.

Will this SMPS - Corsair CX430 support the FX 6100 (on a ASUS M5A78L-M LE Mother Board) with a mid level GFX card (like 550Ti or hd 7770) added later?

Yeah FX 4100 is epic fail for enthusiastic people. I also wanted to upgrade to a BD and bought 955 BE for the time being and ended up keeping it as it trashes the FX4100 in most cases. Waiting for PileDriver now :S

I have no idea of whether it will run FX6100 + 550ti

But it can run 7770+FX6100 without any hiccups :-D

Hi guys...the noob is back!!

I got this built -
Fx 6100,
MB - ASUS M5A78L-M LX V2 - ASUS M5A78L-M LX V2 Motherboard: Flipkart.com
PSU - COOLER MASTER ELITE POWER 460W regular (Newer model. not listed on Flipkart)
CORSAIR 1600MHZ 4 GB
SEAGATE 500GB

Total - 17.7 k (local market)

Well now I need a graphic card. I have zeroed in on two models -

Sapphire AMD/ATI HD 7750 1 GB GDDR5 Graphics Card

or

Gigabyte AMD/ATI Radeon HD 6670 2 GB DDR3 GV-R667D3-2GI Graphics Card (cheaper)

I know that my MB and PSU can support the latter card but I need some help with the other one (hd 7750).

My question is - will the hd 7750 work properly on my system???

Specs here: SAPPHIRE HD 7750 1GB GDDR5


Any help will be much appreciated.

This is a really noob question, to be honest. try to understand this, Any PCI Express X16 Video Card can be used with any motherboard with a PCIe X16 slot.
