HTC One V vs HTC Rhyme

I wanted to buy a phone within 20k. A few days back Rhyme's price was slashed to 15k in Ezone.
Here are few points:

• Is it worth buying an year old phone right now with a new release competing?
• Both have almost similar specs with Rhyme having higher RAM and Front camera.
• But One V has a dedicated Imaging chip.
• Also One V has quite a support on XDA whereas Rhyme has almost none.
• According to GsmArena, Rhyme is a ladies phone

So with all the points before you, which phone should i consider? Also if you have some suggestions in the same price range you can suggest.

Go for One V.
If you are considering an old phone then Desire S can also be considered but there is no fun in picking a year old phone as they won't be getting any update after ICS.
Where as One V hopefully should get one more update as it already comes with ICS

I bought the One V yesterday evening and I'm thoroughly enjoying it!!

not yet started experimenting due to busy schedule....
do I have to root for installing apps/games (hacked ones) & also tweaking?
