Xperia P is not worth it at the current price. Wait for the price to go down to about 22k if you want the Xperia P.

EDIT : Xperia P available for Rs.22419 !

But who said One S will be around 25k ? It's a super high end device, will be priced at a minimum 30k IMO
One S and Xperia P are not even comparable. One S is a high end device whereas Xperia P is upper mid range device.

And yet this super high end device doesnt sport HDMI port, Dedicated camera button and NFC which are present in Xperia P.

One S has MHL :)

So you can use MHL to HDMI cable and it works the same way as a dedicated mini HDMI port and also charges the phone at the same time as an added advantage.

Both the phones have not released. I dunno what are we discussing then.

Let the final price be known for both the devices, then appropriate recommendation can be made .

Edit : Seems like Xperia P will cost 24k still we must wait for HTC One S price.

@shivindera

Why are you choosing between budget 1Ghz dual core with 1.5Ghz dual which that actually ruling on the benchmarks ? Xperia P will cost you 22.4k through buytheprice.com and HTC One S will come in the first week of june and would be priced at least 28k to compete with Galaxy S II and Xperia S.

Xperia P having some death grip issue check this

Xperia P does NOT have deathgrip issue. This was confirmed by multiple sources. It was a one off issue, probably that guy had a defective unit.

Oh and if I were to mention Htc One S issues, this topic would probably grow to 3 pages :p

Can you tell few major problems of HTC One S?

In some benchmarks, HTC One S (Global version) even beats the Galaxy S III

Well benchmarks aren't everything. It's the overall experience that counts and if the phone is (largely) free from issues and can provide a smooth user experience.

One S issues -

Weak Signal reception and signal loss, poor call quality
slippery grip on body
Wifi reception is weak, random reception loss
Minor build quality issues
Multitasking bug
Overheating
Screen scratches easily even with Gorilla Glass

You can read more in the One S forum over at XDA

Benchmarks can tell many things about the performance of mobile thats why all people qualify the power of smartphones. Xperia S has quadrant score of 3173, 6514 antutu score that is a big shame for sony.
as far as i know the build quality would be good as its uni-body aluminum designed whereas Xperia S is of plastic, it is one of the slimmest phone 7.8mm unlike bulky 10.5mm and if there is any slippery grip that can be solved by some good silicon cover. Weak wifi siginal is the problem of One X not One S. One S has advanced active noise cancellation with dedicated mic. It has new Gorilla Glass 2 SAMOLED display, whereas Xperia p and s have not even old gorilla glass, sony selling with ancient scretch resistant LED backlit LED screen with high resolution and poor viewing angles. :-o
One S much more actual RAM than Xperia S, so better multi-tasking.. even the camera is with best aperture in a phone yet and give me link of XDA page where people mentioned these problems?

LOL Hahaha dude don't compare Xperia S with One S. Xperia S has s3 chipset and One S has s4 chipset. Compare Htc handsets with s3 against the Xperia S and see what a horrible job Htc do at optimizing. Xperia S scores much higher than Htc devices with s3 chipset and LOWER resolution.

You "think". Well we all "think" of so many things but our thoughts are not always the same as facts

No need for any link. Just go to the One S forum, its filled with numerous threads discussing issues I mentioned.

Those "paper specs" don't mean a thing if it doesn't perform as good as advertised in real world usage.

And leave One S, even One X cannot match Xperia S camera. And too bad the Htc One X with SCLD2 and One S with SuperAmoled Pentile can't beat Xperia S screen in terms of overall quality.

I know a lot of people with both the One X and Xperia S who think XS has the better screen. I am sure you heard of the developer DoomLord ??
He has both XS and One X and he said camera and screen are both better on XS than One X.

And I didn't mean to start no war here, I just mentioned the issues that One S users are facing. Someone else posted about Xperia P having death grip issues and I just clarified that it was one off issue and its not a real issue.

You could have done the same, but no ! You decided take it too personally.

I never intended to bash the One S, in fact you can see I have even recommended someone on another thread to consider the One S. I even said the Xperia P and One S simply don't compare. The One S is a premium high end device and the Xperia P is just a upper mid range device.
