htc desire or galaxy 9000 ?????????

i am really confused bw the above two ...
htc certainly seems to have better UI, but samsung has some nice hardware specs...
but i have heard samsung screen theme n UI is poor n cant be changed, something like that ???
is it really so ??

can someone give good pros cons of both n other reviews ????

plz plz help me... i really want to switch to android but am confused....
