How to print in Win XP machine from DOS based program ?

Hi i have installed win xpp and attached a dmp to m/cs parallel port. when i give print command from other machine that is connected via lan...it prints out but it doesn't print from dos based programs ( if print command is given from node or from a machine which is not directly connected to dmp..but connected to it via LAN)..pl. suggest me to overcome this problem
