How to install Firefox extensions

In my systems, when I click an xpi file, that is a Fire Fox extension, Firefox opens but nothing happens. I tried to open the extension window, and dragged xpi file there, still the extension does not get installed. What may be the treason?

U can extract the XPI file.( I used 7-zip to check it).
And copy the extracted folder to C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\<profile_folder>\extensions

I will tell u a simple way...

1. just open the file
2. it will ask u, from which file , should it open with
3. select FF
4. open FF and it installs automatically.

Now it's done.

Thats what I did drgrudge. In fact I asociated xpi with FF.

Try using simple theme installer coded by me to install your themes:
*ankitsaraf.f2g.net/firefoxtheme.html

This was infact coded by one of our members.

Just Drag n Drop

First open the extensions window in Firefox and then drag and drop all your .xpi files on it. It will automatically ask to Install... Simple..
