how to clear the bios password

hi friends,
my friend has set the password for bios.but he forgot the passsword.when he try to boot the system it didnt enter into the os.how can i help him?please.it is an intel s975 motherboard.

Try clearing the CMOS.You may need to change some jumpers on your motherboard for this.

Yep there is some jumper setting on mobo which clears all the passwords.Check out the .pdf file in driver CD for more details.

if you don't find the jumper, then jus remove the battery for sometime and then replace.

But this would reset the clock to start from 0:00 hrs on next boot !!!

i guess even shorting wid the jumper does the same. its fine. clock can be set back to the correct time and date anytime.

yaar, it was a joke. I know that we can set the time and date again. :)
