How is Nokia 701 and Symbian Belle?

I was going through ebay and i saw the Nokia 701.How is Nokia 701?Whether it is a competitive phone at 17k range?Because the specs looks very good.And what about the games and apps available for Belle?Will there future updates for symbian?

Well, irrespective of what kind of Symbian it is running I think it is best to get a Android phone at that range like Moto Defy.
Symbian has been "abandoned" by Nokia itself

Nokia will Give support to Symbian until 2016. To me Nokia 701 is very Good Phone and If u r the one Who don't use much 3rd party Apps then this is Good Phone. Belle Update Has reduced a lot of gap between Symbian & android.

Just to let you Know @17K you have few android Options Too.

You are looking for your sister then better look @ Nokia 700, It has similar specs but it is small & handy Presented as smallest smart phone. Also see Nokia 600, presented as Loudest phone (looks like Inclined towards Multimedia )

Is your sister a smart phone user? Android might look ugly to her.. get her views. Symbian will be good for her
