1. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run? (Stupid answers like 'gaming' or 'office work' will not work. Be exact. Which games? Which applications? Avoid the word 'et cetera.')
Ans:I'am a 3d modeler/lighting artist so Autodesk 3Ds max,Maya,Adobe editing software's,
Games like Battlefield 3,crysis 3 and yet to come games

2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then mention this too.
Ans:40k +2:-?

3. Planning to overclock?
Ans:NO

4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?
Ans:Windows 7

5. How much hard drive space is needed?
Ans:500gb (have a 250gb)

6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention which screen size and resolution do you want. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, again mention the size and resolution of monitor you have.
Ans:Yes need 19'' ,Currently using Samsung LCD SyncMaster 740N 17''inch 1280 by 1024

7. Which components you DON'T want to buy or which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans:Cabinet,keyboard,mouse

8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans:next week

9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
Ans:Assembler

10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?
Ans:Bangalore,yes S.P road,yes

11. Anything else which you would like to say?
Ans:suggest me Intel,this is my 3rd rig and i prefer Intel (no offence)

I've suggested a configuration there and if you remove the components you already have, it will come pretty much near to your budget.

Thanks that's the config i had in mind but i don't want gigabyte motherboard so suggest me ASUS motherboard

IF you want an ASUS mobo go with this P8B75M-LX But remember only 2 slots for RAM whereas the Gigabyte has 4 slots and also more VFM....

in case there are multiple brands of repute, its better to target products which are better VFM rather than trusting a brand blindly..

go with Cilus's suggestion.

thanks guys, but keeping the budget in mind did a small edit from what you'll suggested and will msi hd7770 GPU sufficient for all my maya rendering and v-ray.. suggestions plz:)

FX 6100 is okay for your other stuffs apart from gaming. In gaming, only the very recent titles like Crysis 3 run well in this Processor but in most of the other games, it trails behind even the older Phenom II X4 Processors.Better stick with FX-8350.

thanks guys finally decided to go for Intel

Intel i5 3570
Asus p8h77-m (suggest any intel MB which is equal to this board )
G-skill single stick 8gb 1600mhz
Sapphire 2gb hd7850
Seagate 1 TB hdd sata
coolermaster thunder 500w or Corsair cx 500w

Guys any suggestions or should i go ahead... thanks

For AMD config, go with FX-8350 @ 11.5K + Asus M5A97 @ 6.4K

Is there any cheaper motherboard than this ???
Im also planning to buy fx8350 , but im very tight on budget so i have to go with intel i5 3470 + gigabyte b75 :(
i want to buy fx 8350 .. so is there anything which i can do ?? :|

Thanks :) I found 1 gigabyte motherboard also .. which is for 4500/- .. i went to nehru place and the dealer told me abt this .. bt he cudnt tell me the model no. :| .. do have any idea abt this ?? :|
