just enquired with other cell phone dealers and they said N82 is available....

also N79 = 19,200/- with them Nokia Priority dealer quoted me 20,450/-

N79 is a bit lighter,smaller & thinner than N82

It seems it also has a better video recording capability
But the N82 has a faster response time

umm...nothing. For camera N82 is better, for Keypad & looks N79 is better

in everything else N82 is either better then N79 or similar.

Navi wheel - fun to use

better display - more brightness in screen

dual led can be used as TORCH via using applications like N-TORCH

4 gb card in the box

Back cover of N79 can be changed daily

and everyone saying better video playing capability .. use core player they will have same playing speed then

3d hardware graphics is good for gaming .. but how will you play great when the keypad will suck ???

I forgot to mention it as I have also used it. Few days ago I was in the car with some friends & his music collection sucked. We also didn't have a both sided 3.5mm audio jack for connecting the phone to the car to play the songs so I played the songs & transmitted over Stereo FM which was then playing on the car speaker.

According to u ppl shud buy N79 coz it has awesome features like torch

IMO N82 is beast which can handle any task easily unlike N79 which struggles at some points and dats y i chose N82 over N79. If looks matter too much for the buyer then i'd suggest getting 5800xm or some sony ericsson phone coz the difference in the look of N82 and N79 aint that much .

between these two n series phones , n82 for sure.

On a sidenote- These days nokia seems to compete with itself only. 5800xm ,e71 , n82 , n95 , n79, n85 , n95 8gb. All are in the price bracket of 17-24k and are very good devices.
