HELP IN ocing 8600gt

Instead get a Palit HD4850 from Malaysia... that wouldnt hardly make any diff in purchasing a HD instead of worthless 98GT....

ASUS -> Good choice....

Worthless ?? No fukking way!!!! Its as good as a HD4850 and if you OC it, it will match the HD4850.

ASUS -->> Teriffic performance BUT at a premium
MSI -->> VFM (Value for Money)

d00d I dont wanna get into an arguement with you as I know you are a good, friendly guy who posts sensible stuff but I aint a fanboi.

MSI provides bang for the buck while ASUS only provides a bang albeit a bigger one but they are less VFM.....

guess I will leave it for guys like comp@ddict, desiibond and imgame2 to make you understand why I always suggest MSI boards to people on a hunt for VFM.

Arguement over.......go for the ASUS P5K (P35 based) or the ASUS P5Q (P45 based) .... whatever falls under your budget. Happy ?

And Don't spend on any new gfx card right now, wait for the new HD 4830, and see, cause it'll be priced lesser I guee than 9800GT, but surely similar performance is what is esxpected...

Simple........will perform better than 9800GT OC .

I think HD4830 will perform a notch lower than the 9800GT....... but that is just an approximation.

Yes, HD 4830 is supposedly wid 480SPs, nearly half of 4850, I hope the performance doens't get halved!!!loloz
