see if u can tell us the budget for PSU too then it will help us more
we can arrange good combo if we know about ur total budget

and 5670 is way better than 9800gt because
->better same or slightly lower performance
->dx11 and shader model 5.0(required these days and in future too)
->ultra low power requirements(the most admirable quality of this card)

yes 4770 is also a good card but may/may not be available so easily
but my recommendation would be 5670
if 4770 was available its prices would be near 4770 HD5670 or 9800GT i guess or more

corrected.

if you are using a lean cpu you can use 5670 on a local 450w psu, one of my neighbours is running 5670 on local psu with a core 2 quad tho i dont suggest it so please mention your full system specs

god.... what a dude ... the OP is hell bent on getting OLD SCHOOL cards when you guys are suggesting MUCH better cards...
ok maybe 9800gt is good...but damn it is OLD... it will be overpowered (prolly is overpowered by now) by 2010-2011 games.... god plz someone DRILL it into his head... :)

and about your line that 5670 has NOT SO GOOD dx11 capabilities... wel consider this... 9800gt has NO dx11 capabilities... so plz listen to what the others are saying and try to go with those.. if you're on a tight pocket than try to wait a bit more... and save more money... and then buy...

btw ... i TOO am from assam...

good luck on your gfx card venture..:smile:

GAMING IS NOT A CRIME
Sapphire radeon HD 5570 1 gb would be a good choice. It will be lil more than your budget. about 500/- more.(It may vary place to place.)

5670 is not powerful than 9800gt.equal or slow of negligible amount.
But,
1.it runs cool.
2.less power hungry
3.u want 9800gt, it need powerful psu at least 400w~450 true powersupply ...so u need to spend more on psu ,if u take 9800gt.
4.just go for 5670 512mb or 5570 if budget constrain.
