Graphic card suitable for ASUS BOARD

I propose to get one PC with the following configuration

CPU : INTEL QUAD CORE PROCESSOR 'Q6600' 2.40GHz and 1066 Mhz FSB

Mother Board: ASUS - P5 NE SLI

RAM: 2 X 1 GB OF DDR2(800 Mhz)

Monitor: View Sonic 'VX 2245 mb'


I requst the forum viewers, to suggest suitable PCI E based graphic card since there is no onboard graphics on the mother board. My applications are using Auto CAd and other Engineering software etc.., . My budget for graphic card is between Rs 5-7.5 k.

I also request for the open coment on the performance of VIew Sonic monitor 'VX 2245 mb'

Get 8600GT 512 Mb version, as the extra memory may help 3d designing. But for gaming 256 Mb 8600GT is better[due to vfm].
u can go for any of the brands like Asus, XFX, MSI, Gigabyte, BIG etc.

get a XFX 8600GT 256MB.it oc's like a charm.i've used it myself.sud cost bout 6.2k + taxes
