well u can go for this config:

processor-AMD Phenom x6 1055t ->9.8k
MSI/Gigabyte 880g based mobo ->less than 6k
GSKill 4 gb DDR3 1333 mhz kit ->5.5k
Cooler master elite 430/NZXT M59 ->2.7k/3.5k
PSU Corsair VX 550W ->4.8k
Graphic card-HD 5850 ->15k
DELL 20" LCD/LED screen ->6.5k/7k
seagatte barracuda 1TB ->3.2k
fans -3/4 120mm CM ->200rs each(non led) 400rs each(led)
logitech KB+mouse ->0.7k

u still have around 7k left with u
so u can buy 5870 instead of 5850 which will be a nice deal

If the sole purpose is gaming, then you should also look at the Intel offering as they perform a little better than their AMD counterpart.

My suggestion will be a faster Quad core, rather than a slower 6 core processor as games are far from optimized to use 6 cores and only a handful of very new games are able to use the 4 cores.

My suggestion will be

Core i7 930 2.8GHz @ 13.8k
MSI X58 Pro @ 10.8k
Corsair 4GB DDR3 1333MHz C9 @ 5.2k
Seagate 1 7200 rpm 1 TB HDD (32 MB Cache) @ 3.1k
Corsair VX 550W @ 4.8k
Cooler master elite 430 @ 2.7k
BenQ 22" G2220 FULL HD LCD Monitor @ 7.5k
Mouse & Keyboard at your choice @ 0.6k
LG 22X SATA DVD Writer @ 1k
Palit Nvidia GTX 460 1 GB @ 14k

Total is coming around 63.5k. Now the price of ram, Monitor or processor may be little lower. If your soul purpose is gaming, then it is the best buy as Core i7 9XX series are far better in gaming.

Alternatively, you can go for Core i5 750 2.66GHz @ 9.5k + Biostar TP55 @ 6.6k + MSI HD5870 1GB GDDR5 @ 22.3k
total is again 63.4k.
This one will perform better than the previous one due to HD 5870, the most powerful single GPU offering from ATI. But in other multi-threaded applications like Audio/Video editing, i7 930 will be better.

who cares about beating inel or beating AMD (or nVIDIA and ATi) for tat matter.. :)

dont go for tabloid news, buy the stuff tat u prefer will giv u a better gaming/multimedia experience buddy.. :)

will it matter to u if Intel said tat their and nVIDIA combo defeated (AMD+ATi) combo in Crysis by a mere 5-6fps.. !!!! :)

its irrelevant according to us, as while gaming we jus look for smooth gameplay rather than counting each and every frame rate.. :)

also, if u wish to go in for a core i7 based system, plz (from here on as a sincere request) post allur core i7 or i5 related querries in the link given in my siggy, as its designed only for core ix based systems...so it will help the forum members to keep all their querries and faq's at one place.. :)

I feel one may be able to fit a X58 + core i7 rig in that budget.
But please do so only if buying products from brands known for good quality.

If one has to buy a VFM setup, the 890GX + X6 1055T setup makes more sense i have heard and also saves one quite a bit of money inspite of buying the best quality boards.

Snd i request all the gurus to help out with this.
Are the 1600Mhz kits much more expensive that the DDR3 1333 kits?
The latter is so avoidable imho. :)

At a given point of time, something may be "generally" better than the rest, considering the overall lineup.
There is no definite.
And at a given price point/budget, it maybe the same way or even the opposite.
So making such generalised statements is not possible. :)

For those who have a decent or more than enough budget,
One hs to decide if they want to spend every paisa of that or maybe get something well-balanced and VFM and save some of that money.

I think i understand the message you want to convey somehwat and am not debtaing it in anyway.
But i feel the example you give might not suit it very well.
Think over this please-
Say the latter setup manages 22-24fps, then would the former's claims matter to you? :oops:

You heard wrong then.Intel is better.IMO,AMD is just making much money because of ATi GPUs.....Intel is the best if you want for gaming[for other purposes too-intensive i mean]
Cilus gave you a good config.....

One hell of a config from Jaskanwar. Yes, this is one of the most powerful configuration. 2 GTX 460 in SLI will simply blow up everything comes to its path. Probably it will play all the games in coming 3 years in full detail.

Depends upon what price you are talking about. AMD's motherboards are cheaper too.

Can I Combine a stock 460 with an overclocked 460( MSI HAWK 1GB) ???
Like I`ll be buyin a a stock 460 now and an overclocked one later ....

What is the compatibility of the 460 with other SLI cards ???
Like 5850 will only crossfire another 5850 ...

Plz help ....

Thanx Ashu !!

But as I said, what is better GTX 460*2 or HD 5850*2 ???

Which company to buy ???

go for 2X GTX460 1Gb, provided you able find Point of View. or for for 2*HD5850. cause 2*GTX460 will be noisy as well as run hot if you go for Zotac/Palit.
