MSI P45 Neo F Rs. 5.2K
2x 1GB Transcend or Kingston Ram Rs. 1.2K
Palit 9600GT Rs. 5.8K
HDD Seagate 500GB Sat2 Rs. 3k
KB+/mouse Rs. 0.7K
Viewsonic 19inch LCD VG1921WM Rs.8750
Speaker Altec BXR 1121 2.1 Rs. 1.1K
Cabby zebronics bijli w smps Rs. 1 K
CM 500 extreme PSU Rs. 2.6K

Total Rs. 34350

For amd :

If you are not into heavy gaming, AMD rig is better... You can drop the gfx card since the onboard graphics of the 780G based motherboard is pretty good and can handle casual gaming reasonably well... That means the AMD rig by topgear will cost only 26750... 1k for DVD writer was missing... That brings it to 27.75k... You can increase the AMD processor from 5400+ to X3 8450at 5k and still fit your budget at 29250.

oh wow...Xenforo!!!
Stick with cm 460w extreme plus or cx400w corsair. cm extreme 500/600/650 are stripped down version of seventeam 500 bkp (I think) without the copper pfc and its replaced with some cheap non active pfc. Extreme's effiency is 70% on operational temp of 25 degrees celcius. Room temps are atleast 27 degrees celcius *www.chip.in/forums/images/smilies/icon_razz.gif and it doesnt live upto its name. cm 460w plus is 70% on operational temps of 40 degrees celcius and cx400 are 80% efficient on 40 degrees celcius and vx450 is 80% efficient on 50 degree celcius- do the math. POV black diamond 500w for 2.8k is anyday better than cm 500/600/650w. As for viewsonic lcd, they have a detailed history of dying lcds for a long time.

Intel OCer
@thread starter: What components do you exactly want? do u need absolutely everything including monitor, DVD writer HDD or just a mobo/procy combo?

Thanks 4 the Config ( Topgear )
So , Topgear Highly Recomend Intel . Okay i go with Intel Process

I had Seen the spc of MSI p45neo.....
U Got Good One mobo.....
IT has Ready PATA support...........
Chipsets North Bridge Intel P45and it can Support Extremm Proccss also
Good To See.........

One more Doudt
is There any Second Choice For Going To AMD config
or its Better to Go FOr intel not to AMD ???

I Dont Know Much Technically abt Intel or AMD/Asus .
But I heard of Asus Board are Much More Features than Intel bods
is That So ?? To say so (ASUS P5N-EM HDMI has Dual VGA Output: HDMI support)
or Its just a Attraction To AMD ?? Later it will cause Problems

I Just ned Some Clarification >>
Dont Mistake Me
Plz Explain ME .........

Since you're buying a separate gfx card whats the need of a mobo with VGA output.
If you really want HDMI you can buy DVI to HDMI convertor though many gfx card ships with it. 9600GT is better than all intel, nvidia & ati/amd onboard gfx.
Say it video or gaming 9600GT is always superior than onboard gfx.

As of now intel is the best choice coz you're buying a 2.66Ghz proc.
Just OC it to 3Ghz with that mobo. which will outperform all AMD dual core procs ( currently available in the market )
Even amd dual core procs which have same speed cannot give performance as intel.

Low & mid range intel boards have too few option in bios to fine tune your mobo & proc to get the max performance out of those. 3rd party vendors like asus, msi, gigabyte offers plenty options in their bios. ( Mid range mobos )

Ya I Get It ..So Intel Is Best Choice ah .. Cool ..........
One More Thing Mr. TOp Gear

How About This Config ::

AMD Tri COre Phnoem 8450 - processor
AsUS M3A78EM - mobo

This Can be Compared to near like Intel core2 3.0Ghz Performance
( My Friend Says )

Is That So ????????????
Plz Give This One More Explanation

I ask this . bcos
I Need To Buy a best One that i must be Satisfied with The Performance for More than 2 years no need to Upgradation .

So Give Me One More
My Expert........

Just say Two Best Buy WHats ??

# Mobo ??
# Process ??

ALL Together can Take a Budget of < 10.5K Rs

Plz Give One More FINAL Config

Dont Mistake Me .........

The AMD Tri core would be better than the Intel C2D E7300 at multitasking but in gaming the Intel would probably be better.

If you must buy Intel, I suggest you stick to:
C2D E7300
MSI P45 mobo

Or better yet, just a bit higher than your budget, you can get a quad core proccy:
AMD X4 Phenom 9550 Rs. 6,750
Gigabyte GA-MA78GM-S2H Rs. 4,250
Total Rs. 11,000

Mr. drvarunmehta
what you have Said is to Go For AMD is Best for Future Ench also
So Can I Buy AMD config ........Sure ................

But Other says
The Performance of AMD is
still Lagging Behind Intel process
is that so ???

Small Question :??????????
Okay How About 9650?
Too High Price ??
i saw in Bech marking it is Good than 9550.

Thanks 4 the Config .......

Intel is definitely better than AMD if both proccy's under comparison have the same speed and the same number of cores.
But when you can get an AMD quadcore for the same price as an Intel dualcore then I would say the AMD wins hands down in both multitasking and being futureproof.

I would still Say to stick with Intel coz With that MSI p45 neo f mobo you can OC the hell out of e7300. Just OC it to 3.4Ghz ( With Stock Cooler ) & Then See how it it performas in Games.

It'll surely left behind the phenom 9550 in terms of performance in gaming & even in multimedia apps.

Here is a link of e7200 @ 4Ghz :

Intel procs are very good ocer as compared to AMD. ( Considering all currently available procs in the market )

surinder

Tech addict
Lets make it simple :-

Multitasking :- AMD X4 Phenom 9550

Gaming :- INTEL E7300

PM :- Don't O.C any CPU and play with warranty terms if you are satisfied with its by default performance. As you written you are looking two years or more down the line only O.C when you need more out of your CPU and have benefits of warranty uptill then.

EXIT: DATA Junkyard
E7300 @ 5.4k
2GB DDR2 800MHz @ 1.1k
Gigabyte G31 @ 2.2k
Dell 19"(forgot model name, has 1440x900 reso) @ 9.8k
Zebronics Krish @ 1k
CM460W @ 2.4k
T6060 5.1 @ 4k
Sparkle/Palit 9600GT @ 5.6-5.8k

Get this, G31 allows Mild OCing to 3.4GHz easy too.

drvarunmehta

Wise Old Owl
Why get an outdated G31 when the budget allows for something far better? MSI P45 is much better.

Anyways, I still think you should get a Phenom X4 9550 because when the graphics card is a 9600GT it will be the limiting factor in gaming NOT the processor. Both the X4 9550 and the E7300 are fast enough not to bottleneck the GPU so gaming performance will be similar with either proccy.
Plus the Phenom is almost certain to give you better performance once you shift to Windows 7 and more games support quadcores.

Yaa :p
Now I Got A Beast Processor AMD Phenom Quad 9550 Which is Better Than Intel E7300
For Same Pricing !

Phenom 9550 Ranks - 71
Intel E7300 Ranks - 83

of top High End Cpus

I judged This By Seeing the Bechmark ;)
in Here *www.cpubenchmark.net/high_end_cpus.html:D

Am I Got The Point Right ??

OR Still Intel E7300 Is Better ?????
:)
Provide Me A Solid Reason Plz

Plz Help ME;)

oh wow...Xenforo!!!
AMD quad has 125 W TDP where e7300's TDP is 65 W and q6600 quad core has TDP of 105W- its pretty obvious since its taking SO MUCH POWER it either has to be ultilised or wasted as heat. As for rendering and cpu intensive software its pretty obvious more core is greater than a dual core. Other then that- its practically wasted.

If you're going with MSI P45 Neo your only bet is C2D e7300 + 9600Gt for Gaming & Multimedia Needs. You can also upgrade to better intel processors later when they will be cheap after nehalem goes mainstream.
