gskill ripjaws 8gb 1866mhz 4800
seasonic 520w 80 plus bronze 4200
sapphire radeon 7770 8100
nzxt 2900
ocz vertex 3 60gb 3450

my view:
m suggesting him to not go for overclockable rig..no need as of now..instead, he can save some shells n go for better gpu n psu..
is ssd really needed??

Any B75 mobo of your choice 4-5k
4gb ram (1600mhz) 1.5k
seasonic 520w 4.8k
500gb int hd 3k
Sapphire 7950 Vapor-X 3gb 21k OR 7870 2gb 16k
Total - 45k or 40k approx

And no SSD is not required for gaming.
Exception- Skyrim(and 2-3 more). It performs a little better with an SSD.
