Gaming Rig for a budget of around 65K

Well, it's just another "PC configuration" thread asking for thinkdigitians' suggestions for my yet-to-be build gaming rig.

1. What is the purpose of the computer and what kind of applications and games will be run?
Ans: Mostly for gaming and I play games like AC III and IV: Black Flag, Watch_Dogs, GTA V(if it ever makes it to the PC), GTA IV, Max Payne 3 and L4D 2, TR 2013 and Hitman Absolution, Crysis I - III. For the softwares, I *might* use Photoshop and After Effects.

2. Overall budget:
Ans: My budget is around 65K and not a penny more than that.

3. Planning to OC?
Ans: I don't want to OC my CPU but I'm looking for a "factory Overclocked" GPU.

4. Which OS am I gonna use?
Ans: Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit

5. How much Hard Drive space is needed?
Ans: Anything more than 500GB is okay for me as I'll be trying to get an SSD later. But since a lot of guys nowadays use 1TB, I'll get 1TB as well.

6. Need to buy a monitor?
Ans: Yes. The resolution should be 1920X1080 Full HD and response time should also be minimum. As for the size, anything between 21 -24 inch would be more than enough for me.

7. Components that I already have:
Ans: Mouse, Keyboard and Headphones.

8. When am I gonna buy the System?
Ans: June last week or July first week.

9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
Ans: I've never build a PC before and yes, I'm going to build this one.

10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?
Ans: I'm in Madurai, TN. I've checked the price list of some shops at Nehru Place. Their price are a bit cheaper than what Flipkart has mentioned. I'll gladly buy stuff from online if the prices are cheaper.

11. Anything else?
Ans: I've shortlisted some parts which you can find below. Check that out and do share your opinions. BTW, I'm new to ThinkDigit and this is my first post here.

One more question: I've checked the sticky thread titled "PC buying guide 2014 Q2" where it has been mentioned that I should avoid Corsair's VS series PSU but I'm having the VS650 watt PSU on my mind and it has got good reviews at Flipkart. Should I avoid this PSU?

The response time for Dell S2240L LED IPS 21.5" is 7ms whereas the response time of BenQ RL2240h is less than 5. I'm afraid it will cause lag. Will it cause any sort of input lag?

No, the dell display does not have any noticeable lag. And please don't get corsair VS series psu.

Alright, I'll get Dell S2240L. BTW, if I need to avoid a Corsair VS650, suggest me a good PSU and it must have 2 PCI-e 8 Pins(can also be two 6+2 Pins) since my GPU requires 2x8 PCI-e in order to work.

For Ram , get the Kingston HyperX 8GB 1600MHz DDR3 Ram @ 5.1K, available in Flipkart (*www.flipkart.com/kingston-hyperx-d...perx&ref=b625effb-6299-400b-978a-aa61c5726ad0).

It is a very low price for a 8GB 1600MHz Ram

But my friends told me that using 2x4GB RAM is powerful than using a single 8GB RAM stick. Is that true?

When you use two Ram of same capacity and speed, they work on dual channel mode and theoretically can provide twice memory bandwidth than a single Ram. But in real world cases, in maximum cases the performance difference is very marginal. Only some specific applications which are dependent upon huge memory bandwidth sometimes show a real world performance difference. So save 1K for now and add another 8GB in future.

Great. I'll do that. Can you suggest me a good Cabinet that provides a good cable management for the listed components? Is the NZXT Phantom 410 a good cabinet?

Out of h440 and phantom 410,the former is better.
Go for either source 530 full tower or h440.H440 is somewhat more silent, doesn't have 5.25" bays(so no internal optical drives).

I like H440 more. It is a killer and it comes pre-loaded with 3x120mm fans in the front and 1x140mm fan in the rear. BTW, can you suggest me a good place(online or local) to get this cabinet for a cheaper price?

I need a PSU that comes with two 6+2/8 pin PCI-e connectors. This one has only one 8 pin. So I don't wanna go with this. How about Corsair GS600?

There is no love for Corsair's VS series PSU, I suppose. Everybody has been saying negative things about this particular line of PSU. Even cilius a few posts above said, "Don't go with Cosair VS series".

In the "PC Buying Guide 2014-Q2", it has been mentioned, "Corsair’s VS series PSUs and Cooler Master’s Thunder and Extreme series PSUs should also be avoided."

there are certain products which are avoided on this forum for apparently no reason everyone will say dont buy this and that. granted few of them are experts in their own right and they suggest the best product in budget.
but why the hate towards certain products.
