Then use the rest of money to get an overclocked version of GTX 560 or Sapphire HD 6950 2 GB model.
MSI Twin Frozer HD 6950 2 GB is available @ 15.8K in SMC and Sapphire HD 6950 2 GB is 15.9K. Now the Sapphire one can be unlocked to a HD 6970 will offer you significant performance boost.

If you wanna stick with nVidia then get the MSI N560GTX-Ti Hawk @ 14.9K from SMC with free shipping. This card is insanely overclocked (950 Mhz compared to standard 830 MHz) and offers performance almost in GTX 570 level.

Your 2 TB HDD can be added any point of time, but not a good GPU, IMO get a good gpu first then upgrade amother 1TB later...

If you can get another 5k, then don't hesitate to think about ASUS GTX570 Direct Cu II @ 20k.

thanks for the opinions but buying online is not an option

also cilus mentions sapphire 6950 2gb can be unlocked to 6970 but i have my doubts as only early reference design cards had that ability and its been a fair few months that they were launched

the z68 boards they are not yet available are they? and i cant wait for them as this is not my computer, its for my S**** head neighbour whose gonna be buying it within 10 days from bangalore so suggest any available p67 boards which support xfire+sli(oh shoot should have mentioned that before) i think a GTX 560/HD6950 1gb will be sufficient for present gaming needs, will add another one later

also if possible please mention places in bangalore to purchase computer parts and name of some reputed shops which do have the components that are suggested

and finally nzxt phantom ............ its available anywhere in bangalore? else ill suggest my neighbour to get HAF 912 or 922

If Z68 Mobo's are available then go with then otherwise Gigabyte UD3 P67 B3 will be a good choice...
Both phantom & HAF is available in S.P Road, Bangalore..

^^ That's an awesome config bro. Really good, all round selection.

my suggestion would be to go in for a logitech g1 mouse/kb combo, which comes for 1.5K. with the 3000 that you save, and maybe another 2000 if you go for a p67 motherboard, then with the extra 5000, you can upgrade the GPU to a 570, which is a league above the 560Ti, in gaming performance.

just something to think about..

Go to Ankit Computers [He can bargain] or Golcha IT [Fixed Prices & alll the components will be readily available]

You can also try 'Computer Warehouse' in Barton Centre on M.G.Road

>Very nice prices, best imho & most important they have been around for sometime.
>But finding specific parts are an issue at this point as they are out of stock.
> For your build you can get all the components except the Sidewinder & Death Adder, otherwise its good to go.

Its not the point of arguing, but Computer Warehouse is just completely outdated in terms of latest products, prices are good, but products are not available, customer dealing is superb, but outdated in latest technology.

Golcha, Ankit & few more are far better in availability, but pricings vary from each other.....
