1. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run? (Stupid answers like 'gaming' or 'office work' will not work. Be exact. Which games? Which applications? Avoid the word 'et cetera.')
Ans: gaming. Building a pc for Bf4 and dota and cs go and other games which may launch in the future. not really in touch with singleplayer games these days. :)

i would like the pc to run bf4 @ 1440x900 @ 60fps / 100 fps ( whatever budget permits ) constant in 64 player servers with max graphical settings.

i am not looking for running games on 1080p / 1200p / multi monitor setups. I just want a constant solid framerate in multiplayer games.

2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then mention this too.
Ans: 50k-55k 55k is absolute maximum no (+)

3. Planning to overclock?
Ans:No.

4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?
Ans: windows 7 pro 64bit

5. How much hard drive space is needed?
Ans: 1 ssd 120gb will add my old 160gb hdd

6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention which screen size and resolution do you want. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, again mention the size and resolution of monitor you have.
Ans: no will use old samsung syncmaster 920nw 19" 1440x900 75hz

7. Which components you DON'T want to buy or which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans: monitor, keyboard, mouse, mousemat, headphones / speakers, dvd drive

8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans: 1st week of august

9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
Ans:yes

10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?
Ans: delhi. open to online shopping if cheaper. else cost to cost / SMC international

11. Anything else which you would like to say?
Ans: would prefer an intel config. will later go for a full hd monitor and a better gpu 1-2 years down the line.

i would like to go for a gtx 760 right now, or get a better processor. I am not looking for a feature rich motherboard, anything normal will suffice. and i definitely do not need a 520w psu.

basically at this point i can save 2k on the motherboard about 0.8k on psu and get a gtx 760 easily

isnt it better to go for a gtx760 or gtx 660ti ?

GTX 760 is available for 20k and so is HD7950. GTX 760 performs around 5-8% faster, so you can get it if thas in you budget.

What more basic board do you want? Dont compromise on motherboard, it will receive the last upgrade in any system.

Here's My Suggestion.

Processor : Intel i5 4670 - 13k
Motherboard : MSI H87 G43 : 6.5k or MSI Z87 G43 : 7.8k
RAM : Corsair Value DDR3 8GB (4GBx2) 1333Mhz - 3.8k [flipkart]
SSD : Samsung 840 Series 120GB - 6k [md computers or Primeabgb or smc]
GPU : Nvidia GTX 760 - 23-26k [Anything from Asus or Zotac is fine]
Cabinet : Nzxt Vulcan - 3.8k

You don't need anything more. If you need any help with the Processor-Motherboard Combo, you know whom to PM.

^ MSI is closed in India. getting warranty could be troublesome.

Just an Update :

The time required for getting a RMA ticket closed for Asus, Gigabyte is same as MSI's.

Infact people are more harrassed with products from Asus specially [don't ask me any links, you can get the same by looking at Service & RMA Watch]. End of the day end customer need to get out of his Comfortable Couch & blast Asus Regional Manager in order to get the things right.
