future after silicon..

I read in a blog that Quantum Computing breakthrough has been achieved at MIT(not the Manipal1 :p) and Harvard.

Scientists were able to combine various laser beams/sources into one Individual photon
They are speculating advancement into creation of Photon gates.

IDK , how they are gonna do it, but it sounds really good.

Also heard about the the Graphene and Molybdnem alternative to Silicon. Graphene will be way faster than Silicon , but its more capable of processing Analog signals rather than Digital signals.

I wish if graphene could somehow replace the Silicon , I wll boast of a 100Ghz CPu. codenamed "Centurion".:p

No according to IBM a graphene transistor can't actually be completely switched off.

there will always be leakage current.. even on silicon :p.

Sigh.. I recall those analog electronics classes I attended almost 15 yrs ago :D ...
