I have a domain name and associated email adresses but no SMTP server to send mails. Anyone aware of any free SMTP servers / service I can use to send mails? I tried local server software like postcast server, but such softwares do not seem to work on my computer. So I want a free SMTP server

If you are looking for a free SMTP relay server then you can be pretty sure that almost all RBL lists will be having its listing. And all of the emails routed will remain if the queue forever ...

You must use the mail exchanger provided with your domain hosting package.

U can make ur own web, ftp, telnet, smtp server!
What about his IP address? If he is on a dialup then that IP will be present in almost all RBL lists. His email will never make it to the destination. All the BSNL's, MTNL's and other dialup IP pool are present in RBL lists. Even BSNL's and VSNL's ADSL pool is blacklisted.

You must talk to your ISP and ask him for a non-blacklisted IP address to be able to host an email server. You can however host ftp/www servers.
