For Gaming PC need CPU, MOB, RAM Under 20K. INTEL or AMD?

Hi Friends,

Need Some Suggestions regarding my system Up-gradation.

Purpose:- Want to Play Latest Games with high setting/resolution(1920x1080).

Need Basically Three Components to upgrade:-
1. CPU
2. Motherboard
3. RAM

Budget 10-20K (CPU+MOB+RAM).

Decided GPU
4. Sapphire HD5850 Toxic.(Does't Include in Above Budget).
5. Already Have Corsair TX650

No future Plans for Crossfire.

Plz Suggestions on
AMD or INTEL

if AMD
X4 or X6

if INTEL
core i5 or i7

I heard Intel is better for Gaming and AMD is better for Application like 'MAYA' ?????

I have not used AMD before...

For gaming i5 is better.

Intel Core i5 760 @ 9.8k
MSI H55M E33 @ 5.5k
G.skill 2 * 2GB DDR3 1333MHz @ 4.6k

since u have a good budget for a gpu i will suggest u to wait for 6 series.

I second Jas's advice!!6xxx series is almost here(next month) so better go with it!!

If you have 5850 already then ok.
But if buying new gfx card, do check if you can wait for 6 series as Jas suggested (or maybe something else as per need)

I have not purchased 5850 Yet!
Waiting for 6xxx series to launch, So that 5850 toxic price will come down.(Budget is still 15-17K )

But i need to purchase CPU/MOB/RAM by this months only.

So how about Gigabyte GA-H55-USB3

With USb 3.0 Support???

What do you all have to say about this MOB?

Among H55 Chipset ASUS/MSI/GIGABYTE which is having great performance and build quality?

Also change from 1333Mhz to 1600Mhz RAM will make a difference in performance?

also 1600mhz oc there wont be a lot lot of difference, in amd case it will be none but in intel case you will notice some!!
about build quality all are good but i am doubtful of asus if its improved..still let others reply

You mean Gigabyte GA-H55-USB3 price?
Its around 7K.

but remember you will need a gfx card to run the system, i5 760 has not got any integrated gfx..

You are right Jas. Either i have to wait for 6xxx to launch or i have to change CPU if i want to run the system by Nov 1st Week, then only it will work. Now i am confused !!!
How much i have to wait thats the question? Or Which alternative CPU should i choose?
