Folder view option gets disabled..! plz help..!

I am using Win XP-SP1..Recently I formatted my hard disk and then installed win XP but all of a sudden after two days, the folder view option got disabled and I am unable to view hidden file nor I can view folder options.I have down loaded a vbs script to enable it from a support site but still it could not get rectified.Plz help me to get this problem solved.Thanks in advance.

gooby pls
first go to my computer then rightclick below the file ,edit etc. and click customize and now add available toolbar buttons.

I happened to me once when my system got infected with win32.rontokbro virus. Use an av or removal tool and see what happens

plz help

But the option is missing under Tools in Windows Explorer..i.e. Tool>Folder option is missing.Hence i unble to set show all files OR show hidden files option.

rontokbro will disable it completely from everywhere including control panel, so i dont think simply doing right clicks wd work

Ya I right click as above and got the button for folder option on tool bar but, nothing happens if click it.I can't open folder option window.

right click and then click customize and customize toolbar pops up and then toolbar(folder options) button from it.simple

I followed the same above, got the the folder option button on the toolbar by customising it.But still the folder option button does not get me to the folder option setting window..that what i said above..

Open regedit and goto:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer

In right-side pane look for a DWORD value named "NoFolderOptions", either delete this DWORD value or set its value to 0

nothing works for this, u must use norton or kaspersky, with latest definitions i guess 2004 definitions will b enough . Even avast doesn't setects it
