Firefox crashes while using facebook chat. [Any solution?]

I have Firefox v3.6.12, problem is it crashes when I chat on facebook, its pretty annoying, it first hangs up..I'm forced to close it, any fixes or suggestions?

os: Windows 7

well pretty strage but all i can say is try updating ur firefox to v3.6.13 !!!

There are many reason for it . First do @jerrin_ss5. If it works it's good . otherwise check the the addons (check updates for both extensions , themes , and plugins). for update options for extensions , themes , and plugins go to tools->addons and check fort updates.

Try installing a fresh copy of Firefox

Disable all add-ons and try. Else a fresh install should do fine.

before resintalling , clear history ( cache + cookies ) , update firefox . then try

Go to the Start Menu and Click Run.

Then type:

firefox.exe -profilemanager

Delete all the profiles, close it and start Firefox normally. It'll ask you to create a new profile and then continue. You'll lose all your settings and extensions. Better than a reinstall.

before you delete your profiles , take note that you will lose all your settings(i think), if you do so.

Update all ur addons...that should solve the problem...also check if u hv "Fastest Firefox" addon added...i had many probs coz of this addon...
