Firefox/Chrome not working

so i formatted my drives coz i needed to re-allocate disk space..and then installed all the softwares and drivers. Now i have to log-in first on my ISP's page to access the internet and i could use any browser like chrome or firefox or IE but now i can only use IE now to do that . When i use firefox or chrome they dont even open up the page where i am supposed to enter my log in details..i cant seem to figure out the problem.

i m using win 7-32 Bit..

What type of connection do you have?Are you behind a proxy?
