Right off the assembly line
I use a AMD AthlonPC with 256 MB RAM and i recently bought a new Hitachi 80 GB hard disk. I have two OS Win 98 and XP. All my programs are installed in XP and sometimes when i try to open MP3 files it is not opened with any program. When i try open with.. extension all the installed programs like Winamp, ACDSee, Acrobat Reader, Power DVD etc. are shown by the name Service Manager in the open with menu. This happens all the time aven after i have checked the "always use this program for opening this kind of files". Somebody please help me. I have already tried formatting the disk and istalling the OS and Software again.

Broken In
Open My Computer. Then go to Tools>Folderoptions

Go to FILE TAB.

Search for the extension.

Click on Advanced on botton right of the window.

u will notice that there are several actions that u get when u right click on mp3 files. if there isn't any then click on "New" and "Open" in aciton window. Click on browse and select the path of the program u want to use to play mp3 files....

In case u find "open" already exists, then click on "open" item and click on "edit". Select ur application there and enjoy. HI DONT FORGET TO CHANGE ICON IN SIMILAR MANNER !!! :) :)

FOR FURTHER INQURIES POST A REPLY!!! :D :D :D
