Error in opening Contacts in Galaxy Fit

I updated my Samsung Galaxy Fit two weeks later, all was fine
But now when i did factory reset and added just my contacts by
1. copying .vcf files into the memory card
2. importing contact list from memory card

now when i open contacs it gives this message every time
"The process android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again"

what can be the problem ??

any suggestions ??

The contacts you copied might be corrupt. Just try again or I guess you have a backup ready..

as you have already updated the contact list, sync with google servers. then factory reset the mobile again. now sync contacts again so you have them back. check if any error shows up.

@sam i did the same thing, but synced with kies
its working now

nice to know. But if you have GPRS, try google sync. It easier and takes a few seconds to setup and sync.
