i am sure i will need plenty:D
also i thinking of uninstalling ubuntu so which linux to go for??
i am thinking of fedora core 5
anymore suggestions??

If you really want a window manager which is light on resources, try ratpoison.

If the problem in Ubuntu is debian based, then go this won't help much as this is again debian based distro.
So, it will as always have solid support from the debian community.

yeah.debian based distros are always misinterpreted 4 its superior package management and "discover".all happens due 2 n00bs hearing only 1 word always:

Yes, Debian-based distros are superior than the RPM based ones. @Prakash, it's due
to lack of understanding. What can we say. Thank you all for the compliments.
@Gary, if you like 'ELive' Linux. Then download & install it.

well i am downloading fedora core 5 but downloading 5 cd's is the pain in a$$ with a 256 dataone connection.any way to shorten download??

@Gary, You wastage electricity & also the bandwith!! Better buy it from www.buylinuxdvd.com
Buy a Fedora 5 DVD (32-bit) bootable for Rs 99/- + Courier charges.
You won't get a Fedora DVD cheaper than that!!

well i think i will download them all!:D
also if in future any one wants fc5 just sent me the blank media & and i will foward u thorugh vpp no charges!

i think open source should be free in true sense

which version of enlightenment is installed?
e16 or e17 ?

To be frank I can't find one decent theme for e16, my icewm windows manager on puppy linux looks way better than anything I can get for enlightenment.
