Nanotechnology, contrary to popular opinion, has very little to do with electronics or computers despite all advances in electronics being dependent on it.
Nanotechnology is actually a physical chemistry course (mostly, with important applications in electronics) and most M.Sc. candidates in physics or chemistry would have a good understanding of it.
BTW, in IITs, Metallurgical engineering is very closely related to nanotechnology. No other B.Tech course will be giving any decent idea of nanotechnology.
