DVD Writters??which one

i want to buy a really performance peek dvd writter .... i dont know much abt it and want some guidance over it ......i have heard LITE ON DVD writter is best ...... i dont know which to choose

guys pls guide me to the best dvd writter plz

i ve just purchased a liteon lightscribe(for 3800) gr8 performance worth every penny

Well i have a Sony DRU-820A , Works flawlessly for me . i went for sony coz it has more service points than benq and it uses the same cooling system as benq .

It has problems with Solid Burn I guess, and is not based on phillips chipset..

i have a bad review for samsung n lg...i appreciate sony (best), lite-on, gigabyte (underdog i guess)...i own gigabyte n im quite satisfied wit its performance...i wasnt expecting much from it but its outstanding....

benq 1650 surely is a sweet drive.
about the service: I had a benq1640, but there was some error in the drive.
They replaced it for me and gave me a 1650 instead (by mistake).
Though it took me abt a month!

About Liteon: Liteon has the best Combo Drives available, but for DVD Writers
best Pioneer (not easily available in india)
followed closely by Benq and Sony(they are also Benq).
Liteon follows , LG, ....................................and finally Samsung.

There exists no samsung in any Optical drive buyer's list, it s*ks to the lens's filament!

I have a SAMSUNG combo drive and it is really bad...It keeps giving CRC errors...which work fine on my frenz sony drive...............

From a few days i'm facing this problem.....the tray sometimes goes in by itself...This does not happens always...

How do i get it serviced?
Should I get it serviced?

Steer CLEAR of samsung drives, bas thats all
