Were you using DVD+R's for burning? Because +R's need to have bitsetting enabled else they may not be compatible with all drives. I assume your old Pioneer was a DVR-108. This drive does not have bitsetting hence the problem.realmmahesh said:i recently changed my pioneer dvd-writer to samsung dual layer 16x dvd writer. not the dvd movies i wrote in that writer is not accepted in samsung combo drive in my other system ( 2months old), even tried upgrading firmware. NO USE. but the same dvd works in asus dvd-rom & anoter strange thing is it worked in some samsung dvd-roms. sick thing. dvd's written in pioneer works in all roms & combo drives & dvd players too.
any comment on this??
