Disk defrag not working

I tried defragmenting my hard disks but just the console pops up and nothing happens..

I’m using a Microsoft XP Home Edition [sp #3] (genuine)
….I have tried the possible ways

--- Tried to defrag using the command mode (says windows cannot connect to the defrag engine)
--- Used Safe Mode but no success (same thing just the console and nothing after that)
--- Reinstalled my OS (still problem persists)
--- Tried using external free software to defrag (no success)
(Also did the re-entry of the dfrgsnap.dll and dfrgui.dll in the registry server)..


Please somebody tell me what to do to solve this problem…..

Auslogics Disk Defrag is much much faster and better than Defraggler
i have used both
using Auslogics now, scrapped Defraggler

Installed...and used...it's good and fast...
