Digit DVD not working in Ubuntu...why?

Digit DVDs are not working with Ubuntu.Don't run on Linux platform?The DVDs are not essentially damaged because I ran them on Windows XP before switching over to Ubuntu Fiesty.When I pop the CD,it says-"Invalid mount option when attempting to....".The same case applies to CD/DVDs of other magazines also.Please see the screenshot to interpret the problem.

NB:The drive can read other CD/DVDs.

Looking for an early reply...

Did you run them on your Ubuntu machine?Atleast...any Linux machine?

can u post ur /etc/fstab.also the output from terminal of :

cd /dev/ ;ls -l |grep hd* ;ls -l |grep sd*

^ post the o/p.it is just meant to know ur drives.
also post the output of

sudo tail -10  /var/log/messages

^when prompted give ur passwd.
select the messages,outputs from the terminal with left mouse and right click copy and paste here.

the messages points ur dvd drive /dev/hdd is showing some i/o error.wait i'll get back soon.It seems to be because of the new libata driver for drives.
