My suggestion -
U will need a new ups. Look at the sub 50k rig in guide. Remove keyboard mouse speakers. Change monitor to samsung B2230 or P2250 or dell ST2220L.

MSI 880GMA-E45 @ 5.8k
2 X 2 GB Kingston 1333 MHz DDR3 @ 3.1K
Seagate 1 TB SATA with 32 MB Cache @ 2.7K
Corsiar VX450 @ 3.7K
NZXT GAMA @ 2.1K
BenQ G2220HD full HD Monitor @ 7.5K
MSI HD 6870 @ 14.6K
LG 22X SATA DVD Writer @ 0.9K

total 48K. This configuration is more than enough for gaming or watching HD movies. All the current generations games will be playable with highest detail. The suggested motherboard is having USB 3 and SATA3.

Missed your configuration ssb1551.

Ok i have decided on these components.

Phenom II X4 965 3.4 GHz @ 7.6K or 8.3k?
MSI 880GMA-E45 @ 5.8k MSI or Gigabyte which has good support?
2 X 2 GB Kingston 1333 MHz DDR3 @ 3.1K

MSI HD 6870 @ 14.6K
LG 22X SATA DVD Writer @ 0.9K

NZXT GAMA @ 2.1K
BenQ G2220HD full HD Monitor @ 7.5K

and
1.Seagate 1 TB SATA with 32 MB Cache @ 2.7K , I think 2x500gb is better?
2.Corsiar VX450 is enough or should I go for vx550?
3.Are Benq moniters better than samsung?
4.Can I go for HD 6850 if 6870 is not available or should I wait for it?

he already has a 500va APC UPS. Check his 1st post. I think it will give him enough time to switch off his PC in time of a power cut.

eagle06, regarding your queries, right now 1 GB HDDs are standard and they are reliable. A lot of forum members including me are using this Seagate 1 TB HDD.

I think going for a 500W PSU will be better here as you are planning to go for HD 6870 a premium graphics card. If you want to purchase online, have a look at the Xigmatek NRP-PC502 500W Moduler PSU . It is a 80% certified one and provide upto 440W to the GPU.

Regarding tour monitor query, I've the BenQ monitor G2220HD and it is very good for gaming and movies. Before purchasing it I've checked some reviews in Online and the Tech magazines and found out all positive reviews about it. In fact at the same price range it has offered better performance compared to some of the big brands like Samsung and LG. Digit magazine itself ranked it Best buy Silver award. And its value for money too.

HD 6850 is also very good graphics card at its price point but for a really smooth experience in full HD resolution (1920X1080), HD 6870 is advisable and it is future proof too for the coming games. You can try online stores like SMC international, lynx-india, mediahome.in. All of them are very reliable.

The price I've mentioned is from smc's site. You better ask your local retailer for the exact price of 965 at your place as there will be a difference of few hundred bucks.
If 6870 aint available then better wait for it as it is better than 6850.

Jas, can't OP skip the UPS for now? 500W APC will give him at least 5 min backup time. I think he can go for a higher end UPS later. The reason is as you know Gfx card is a component you can't replace frequently.

5min backup? that UPS is old & just 500VA. PSU is 550W. ok i know the total power requirement of the CPU (power drawn by PSU) will be say 400-450W or something like that at best. but add to it monitor (even if OP connects speaker directly to mains). so easily its ~450W. & no way a 500VA UPS will offer backup when power draw is 450W.
