D Link Adsl Modem For Data One

Hi all
I am using bsnl data one connection for my home since last 1 yr. I have purchased wifi modem from them by rs 1800. Appx 3 months ago their modem stopped working. After lots of complains they have replaced my modem. But the new modem again stopped working last week. Now bsnl guys said they provide only 1 yr replacement warrenty on modem, I have crossed the 1 yr limit. Now I have to purchase a new modem from them.
I have no faith on bsnl, I dont want to buy modem from them. I have heard d link adsl modem can be used for bsnl dataone. I like to know what is the price of d link adsl modem at kolkata. Does it requires any configuaration?

Price should be around 1.5k. I have the same modem.

Well, I think very little configuration is required.

that can be accessed through 192.168.1.1

you just need to set the basics which i think you can do on your own.

ps- I am in delhi so cant help you with the exact config.

Hi wishmaster.dj, thanks 4 ur reply. I have done the config by calling dlink help line. They r very coperative, also they have mailed me the details config. I m very satisfied with the dlink support. Never got such support from bsnl. BSNL is now doubt providing best rate, but they dont have any support team. Very very poor service...
