CyanogenMod is one of the most popular aftermarket firmware out there, and the latest version is based on Android Jelly Bean (4.1). There are a plethora of features and goodies on CM10 which cannot be found at stock level on Jelly Bean. My phone (LGP500) recently got a nearly stable CM10 ROM (xda-developers - View Single Post - Building Jellybean / CM10 - Experiments), so i decided to do a short review.
The big difference between JB/CM10 and other Android versions is that JB/CM10 is Faster, Smoother, More Responsive.
Red colour headings = A really good or little change as compared to ICS/CM9
Black colour headings = Not much change since ICS/CM9
The Launcher
The Launcher still remains Trebutch as found in CM9. So the look and feel remain the same, just got more smooth.

This awesome feature was not working in the ICS Roms of my device but it works fairly(and not awesomly) in CM10.

Google Now : The new google search app
The search experience in Jelly Bean has a new look-and-feel.

*dl.dropbox.com/u/74830990/20120823010719.jpeg
Gallery
There has been a little change in the Gallery app. Some of the transitions are changed. For example the Card Stack animation when browsing photos, if we zoom out such that the picture becomes smaller than the screen then the next and previous picture fills the space on both sides.

Conclusion : Three words : Fast, Smooth, More Responsive. Just watch this video and see how "silky smooth" has google made this newest version of Android.
