Re: CRT or LCD which is good?

LCDs are useful rite now only if u have power/space constraints. CRTs have a better image, wider viewing angle, no ghosting and best of all support for multiple resolutions. Have you ever tried running anything on a lcd at anything other than its native res?

Definately LCD.
Why:

Re: CRT or LCD which is good?

For me it is definitely CRT. CRT Monitors have reached a technologically superior limit over the years and LCD still has some rough edges. More Ever Except for Space and Power Savings LCD Does not have much advantages but then this is not a problem for home computers.

The Biggest Advantage of CRT is that it can be repaired while as a LCD Cannot.

I asked a similar question a few weeks ago and have been following this discussion on many sites since then. The conclusion that I came to is this:
If you are a gamer or a programmer then CRT is the thing for you. In India, you do not have much options other than Samsung or LG. I am however going for a 19" ViewSonic CRT that is costing me 10,500 K. LCD although do have advantages for normal users other than gamers and programmers.

It is not true that in India we have choice of only lg and Samsung for LCDs. There are a a number of brands like Philips, Acer, Benq, Asus etc, etc. I myself use a Viewsonic which is also available everywhere. I even happened to see a Wipro 19" on display which incidentally was offered for 13K.
