Hi,

Some application has changed the associations of the HTML file type and you probably later uninstalled it which might not have happened properly. Run the browser you are using and make it the default browser.

What happens when you click ( run ) the HTML files?

Also Run Windows Explorer
In the menu, Select Tools>Folder Options and select File Types Tab. There navigate to the htm/html files and see what application and icons are registered. If they are different it can be changed using the 'change' button.

If all these fails, then do a full system virus scan

HTM and HTML both open with firefox................
I checked the Folder options too
No viruses......

Goto folder Options > File Types > HTML FILE

Click on 'Advanced'
In the dialog box, click on 'Select Icon'
Browse for ur firefox.exe, select the icon. Click Ok in all dialog box, done.
